Pioneer Valley Fiberglass Pools and Spas Honored as Massachusetts Manufacturer of the Year

It’s our pleasure to announce that one of Leisure Pools‘ outstanding dealer partners, Clancy Kaye and his Pioneer Valley Fiberglass Pools and Spas team, has earned the distinguished Massachusetts Manufacturer of the Year award from State Senator John Velis. This prestigious recognition highlights the exceptional work of a dealer who exemplifies excellence in our industry.

The recognition ceremony took place at the 10th Annual Manufacturing Awards on October 21, 2025, held at the iconic Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Organized by the Commonwealth’s Legislative Manufacturing Caucus under the leadership of State Senator Paul Feeney and State Representative Jeff Roy, the event ran alongside the Massachusetts Manufacturing “Mash-Up” conference presented by MassTech’s Center for Advanced Manufacturing.

With their 25th anniversary approaching in 2026, Pioneer Valley Fiberglass Pools and Spas has become an integral part of the Westfield, Massachusetts business landscape. Over nearly two and a half decades, Clancy has transformed his enterprise from a pool installation company into a full-service outdoor living destination, where swimming pools anchor beautiful backyard retreats.

The company employs approximately 11 team members plus office personnel, providing valuable employment opportunities in the local community. Clancy’s dedication to building a skilled and committed workforce demonstrates the type of leadership that elevates our entire industry and strengthens the regions where we operate.

What makes this recognition particularly special is how it acknowledges more than just commercial achievement. Pioneer Valley’s commitment to community involvement shines through their extensive charitable efforts, including significant contributions to the Boys and Girls Club, area soup kitchens, the YMCA, and complimentary swimming programs across the region.

“Being engaged in our community matters tremendously to us,” Clancy noted. “The need is substantial, and countless nonprofits depend on community support to fulfill their missions.” This year alone, their Boys and Girls Club partnership helped serve roughly 300 children through educational programs and swimming activities.

The company’s community dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. Last year, the local Chamber of Commerce presented Pioneer Valley with recognition for exemplary chamber membership, adding to their growing list of accolades that reflect their positive community influence.

The Manufacturer of the Year designation carries considerable weight in Massachusetts. Each state senator selects just one company from their district, making it highly competitive given the hundreds of businesses vying for recognition in each legislative region. Senator Velis, who represents the Westfield area and has participated in numerous Pioneer Valley events throughout the years, selected Clancy’s company for its contributions to both economic vitality and community wellbeing.

Established in August 2014, the Legislative Manufacturing Caucus brings together more than 70 legislators statewide who champion workforce development, innovation initiatives, and expanded apprenticeship programs in critical manufacturing fields. With strong support from Speaker Mariano, Senate President Spilka, and Governor Healey, the Legislature has prioritized manufacturing as an essential pillar of the state’s economic framework.

The ceremony on October 21st featured a keynote address, the awards ceremony, and valuable networking opportunities where award recipients could display their offerings and forge connections with fellow manufacturers and industry partners throughout Massachusetts.
