The salt water chlorinated pool operates with dual Hayward Tri-Star variable speed pumps – one dedicated to the infinity edge and another for the main pool functions.

The infinity edge represents a marvel of engineering design. Water gracefully trickles down onto porcelain tile in the catch basin below, creating a soothing stream sound rather than a thunderous descent. This effect was achieved through innovative design choices, including custom-designed quartz coping with a decreased edge angle and carbon quartz edge material selected specifically for its superior resistance to salt water. The finishing touch comes from elegant onyx porcelain tile detail work.

The installation process presented unique challenges that required careful planning and execution. Before the pool installation could begin, Dymond and his team had to tackle the significant task of building a grade into the sloping hill to create multi-level spaces. The pool itself had to be carefully craned around the side of the home and up the slope, where it became an integral part of the property’s structure, functioning partially as a retaining wall.
