Pools123 faced multiple challenges during their installation due to the unique topography and terrain of the site. The Texas Hill Country location, renowned for its varying elevations and rocky grounds, necessitated innovative solutions. Mehrman detailed the initial difficulties his team faced, mentioning.
“The ground here is filled with rocks,’ he indicated. “As such, we had to break up a substantial amount of stone just to make space for the pool.”
To address drainage concerns and maintain the pool’s durability, Pools123 designed a specialized wall that redirected water around the pool area. This solution didn’t just solve a problem. It also highlighted the team’s engineering expertise and added a creative twist to the pool’s design, as referenced in the next section.
Moreover, the building constraints in Austin posed additional challenges. With a maximum impervious cover limit of 45% for any lot, the team had only 350 square feet of concrete at their disposal. The stringent tree preservation regulations in the area further complicated the project.
“This is a much tighter of an installation than it looks,” noted Mehrman.
