Today, families are discovering an even greater advantage to having their own in-ground, composite fiberglass swimming pool. With so much uncertainty with large gatherings, cancelled vacations and general health concerns, there is no better time to have your own swimming pool than now. It provides an easy “escape” out your back door along with wonderful exercise and a chance to play with friends and neighbors in a much safer and protective environment.
Having your own swimming pool provides a sense of normalcy to your life while bringing the entire family together. It is also a great way to enjoy your own “staycation” without having to worry about stress of travel and safety.
Leisure Pools and our dealers were busy providing free estimates and landscape consultation to a growing number of families at the beginning of this year. With the recent health situation, we have seen demand increase by up to three times the normal inquiry rate. During “typical” times, Leisure Pools was building and delivering pools with a three-to-four week time period. Today, the demand for our high-quality swimming pools, spas and tanning ledges has increased to as much as a 12 to 16 week delay.
To meet the growing demand, Leisure Pools recently announced the purchase of the Groupe Beneteau manufacturing facility in Marion, South Carolina. Formerly a fiberglas yacht building facility, Leisure Pools is transitioning the team to build composite fiberglass products. This 225,000 square foot facility will allow us to dramatically shorten the wait time for your new fiberglass swimming pool and allow more families the chance to enjoy their Life of Leisure in the spring of 2021.

The Marion, South Carolina facility was slated to be “in hibernation” at the end of the year. However, the “re-opening” will allow us to keep at least 70 jobs open for production of pools, spas and tanning ledges.
In addition, Leisure Pools continues to add job opportunities to meet our incredible demand within our primary production facility, in Knoxville, Tennessee. This includes jobs in fiberglass lamination, mold maintenance and repair, distribution yard work and commercial truck drivers.
